Milo Moores (b.2003, London) is a multidisciplinary artist, primarily working within sculpture and installation. He is currently based just outside of London, England.
Through interweaving a symbiosis of theory and practice, Moores attempts to reignite conversations around the often overlooked, mundane facets of contemporary life. He invites individuals to move into a space of speculation, reimagining potential futures, and engaging in dialogues about the implications of the current path we are treading in the present.
In his recent series of interactive installations (‘Smile You’re On Camera’, ‘Data Mining’, ‘Restless Minds in Luminal Reverie’ and ‘They Are Always Watching’), Moores dissects and criticises the effects of Late Capitalism in the modern working world and the subsequent possibilities that a fully immersive 24/7 world might bring. He is particularly fascinated by the limitations of our agency in a world increasingly dominated by machines and how surveillance systems, both the visible and the invisible, are invasive to our privacy and render us utterly predictable.
