THEO ANGEL
(They/Them)
Sonera Theo Angel is an actor, writer, and painter.
Their work is inseparable from their existence as an autistic, nonbinary, mixed-race, wheelchair user with chronic disability. They enjoy creatively exploring the line between identities and how people who are “a bit of everything” can find their communities.
In painting they are captivated by landscapes and faces, blending the fantastical with the natural. Prints can be found here: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/soneraangel/
Their acting work can be seen on ‘The Third Day’ for Sky & HBO, ‘Casualty’ for BBC and ‘Obsession’ for Netflix.
Currently they are focusing on theatre, opening at HOME Manchester in ‘Self & Other’ in early 2024. They have written a piece about how gender presentation changes accessibility for ‘The Crip Monologues’ to be performed at Camden People’s Theatre 27 & 28th May 2024. https://cptheatre.co.uk/whatson/The-Crip-Monologues
