Ben Saunders is a queer, trans masc artist based in Manchester, UK. His work focuses on the trans body, identity and kink, through which he aims to create a space for trans individuals to feel safe to embrace their body and sexuality away from the fetishisation and judgement that so many people within these communities face. He often describes his work as being by trans people for trans people, with the hope that if even just one person sees his work and aligns with its message and feels seen within that, then he’s done his job as an artist.

Whilst Ben’s illustration work is largely based in printmaking, his practice also extends to include ceramics, publications and tattooing. All of his work that is available to purchase can be found via his Etsy shop BenSaundersArt, whilst his tattoo flash and availability can be found via his Instagram @bensaunders.art. His publication work can also be found in a number of bookshops around the UK, including MagCulture in London and Unitom in Manchester.

Ben Saunders is also one of the co-founders of Manchester Queer Art Market which was established in 2022, in response to a lack of opportunities for Northern queer artists to sell their work in a queer-specific space. Market dates and opportunities are advertised regularly through the market's Instagram @mcrqueerartmarket.
